Michael Nicoloff - Toby Wells YMCA Camp Director

DEAR FAMILIES,

My name is Michael Nicoloff, and I serve as the Camp Director here at the Toby Wells YMCA. I cannot believe that Summer 2026 will be my sixth summer in this role. Over the years, it has been incredible watching so many long-time campers grow. Yes, they’ve grown physically, but the personal and character development we see each summer is what truly stands out. At Toby Wells YMCA, the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are woven into everything we do from day one. Our hope is that campers carry these values with them into their everyday lives whether it’s at home, at school, or out in the community. Families can also continue to expect a high-quality camp experience, as our day camp boasts the top Net Promoter Score in our association for the second year in a row.

As we look toward Summer 2026, one of our major focuses is progression. We want camp to grow with your child, offering new challenges as they gain skills and confidence. This year, you’ll see progression across many of our camps: from our new Advanced Gymnastics Camps for older gymnasts, to Fencing Camp, where younger campers begin with onsite lessons while teens train at a professional facility with Olympic-grade equipment. Even our Fishing Camps build from basic skills for school-age campers to a deep-sea fishing experience for teens. No matter the camp, our goal is to provide meaningful steps forward that help every camper continue learning, exploring and thriving.

We are incredibly excited for another summer filled with learning, friendship and new experiences. Thank you for trusting us with your children year after year. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey, and we can’t wait to see their growth in Summer 2026.

Yours for youth development,

Michael Nicoloff | Camp Director

Please note: families previously on the waitlist must add themselves to the interest list using the link provided in that email. Once the waitlist option closes, you can visit our website blog to view camp updates and alternative camp suggestions, families will also be emailed when new information is posted.

General pre-camp emails will be sent out on the Tuesday prior to the start of camp.

Traditional camps are ultra-spirited, fun-filled camps with weekly themes that guide activities for the week. New experiences, skill building, a sense of community and lasting friendships are all part of traditional day camp experience.
