DANCE CLASSES AT THE Y
Dancing is a fun and creative workout experience that’s fun for all ages! Dancing is a wonderful and creative exercise and art that builds strength, balance, and agility. It’s good for the heart and makes you stronger while improving balance and coordination. The Y is a great place where you or your child can work toward a balanced mind, body, and spirit by learning a new skill and hobby while fostering connections with friends, family and instructors.
Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and encouraging environment to build confidence and make new friends, and we can do that through dance.
Depending on the age and skill level, the YMCA offers private, semi-private, and group dance programs.
Dance classes at the Y are offered for adults, families, parent/child, preschool and youth. Choose a class and start dancing!
DANCE CLASSES AVAILABLE
ADULT
Get up, out of your seat and move your feet to achieve your fitness goals with dance classes at the Y! Register for a specialized dance class and learn dance styles and techniques. Or show up ready to move at a group exercise dance class. Choose a class from one of our current group exercise dance classes located at Ys across San Diego County.
FAMILY
Get in the groove with your family and friends in our family dance classes! Dance classes include music movement, as well as semi-private, and group lessons for a variety of dances (branch specificities apply). Register now for our family dance classes.
PARENT/CHILD
The whole ‘pointe’ is dancing together! Boogie, dance and sing with your little one in our Parent/Child dance classes. Register now for Parent/Child dance classes!
PRESCHOOL
Bring your little’s tippy-tappy toes to the next level with our preschool dance classes. The YMCA’s dance classes for preschoolers are a wonderful transition between classes involving parental participation and our youth dance program. Register now from our variety of preschool dance classes!
YOUTH
Whether your little one is the next hip-hop master, or on the road to being the next swan princess in ballet, we offer several forms of dance to suit any dancing feet. Register now from our variety of available youth dance classes and programs!
