A Roof for Every Youth: Services for Young People Experiencing Housing Instability or Homelessness

Our YMCA Youth & Family Services team created a comprehensive map of housing programs and services for young people experiencing housing instability or homelessness anywhere in San Diego County. 

IMMEDIATE HOUSING SERVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

YMCA Youth & Family Services provides specialized assistance to young people up to the age of 24 who are experiencing housing instability or homelessness.

YMCA TAY Services: Visit one of our TAY Drop-In Centers to receive meals, access to showers, personalized case management services, and other resources. 

NORTH COUNTY INLAND
Palomar Family YMCA – Strensrud Building 
Drop-in Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 2:00p.m. – 6:00p.m.
Drive-thru Hours: Tuesday, Thursday from 2:00p.m. – 6:00p.m.

Overnight Shelter – Every Wednesday, we provide overnight lodging vouchers for young people ages 18-24. A maximum of 5 vouchers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Find out more here.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

YMCA Transitional Housing Services for Former Foster Youth: Supportive housing and case management for young people (ages 18-25) exiting the foster care system (North County). 

YMCA Turning Point Transitional Housing: Residential support to young people ages 16-21 who are experiencing homelessness (City of San Diego)
