Youth Counseling & Support
Childhood & Adolescent Wellness
While so much has changed for individuals and families in such a short amount of time, caring for the emotional well-being of local families and teens, ages 12-17, remains our top priority — so we are offering flexible, therapeutic teletherapy for youth and their families.
We have a dedicated team of licensed and pre-licensed clinicians, including marriage and family therapists, social workers, and clinical counselors, that are ready to help. We also have a team of clinicians trained in Disaster Mental Health who are on hand to support the community in times of disaster. We strive to meet every youth where they are to create treatment plans based on an individual’s strengths and needs.
Counseling services are accessible across San Diego County and are available in Spanish.
What is Teletherapy?
Counseling Services
For Families & Young Individuals
School-Based Counseling
Our school-based counseling programs are a collaborative effort between YFS, communities, schools, and families to ensure our youth’s success.
These programs include the Healthy Start Building Bridges Program at Roosevelt Middle School, Sherman Academy, and Ocean Beach Elementary as well as the TIDES Program at select schools in central San Diego.
Behavioral consulation
Through phone-based support, we offer families with young children a listening and empathic ear to problem-solve challenges, support in coping with the current stressors, and guidance in understanding your children.
