Mission Valley YMCA Krause Family Skate & Bike Park
Mission Valley YMCA & Krause Family Skate and Bike Park, also known as “Clairemont Skatepark,” is home to the first permanent track in the world and several professional athletes. The skate park is a 60,000 sq. ft. facility with various ramps for all skill levels. We have a beginner course, a brand new remodeled street course, a BMX course, a 4-foot mini-ramp with a spine, a Dew-Tour vert ramp, a concrete pool and a skatercross skateboard racing track. At this park, professional skater, Andy Macdonald, built the nation’s only skatercross course in San Diego — something he had been planning for 15 years! This park is open and available for people of all ages and skills to enjoy. Pad up and get on over to the park!

- Skate, Scooter & BMX | Ages 6-15 | SEARCH CODE: CPSSBMX20 FIND SESSIONS Instructors focus on basic safety, balance, and simple maneuvers so that kids can master the basics. Advanced riders can expect a focus on higher-level techniques so that campers can perfect skills they already know. Instruction will take place at a Y-owned or partnered skate park in the mornings and campers will practice their skills during open riding time in the afternoons. LESSONS
Take your skills to new heights at the skate park! Private and semi-private lessons are available for skateboards, bikes, roller skates and scooters. Group lessons are available for skateboarders, ages 6-12!Private lessons
Enjoy private lessons with great instructors in one-on-one sessions or in semi-private lessons with friends to improve your skills! Private lessons are based on availability but are available for BMX, roller skating, scooting and skateboarding. Private lessons are for 30 minutes and take place every day of the week. Group lessons are available for skateboarders looking to improve their skills! These 60-minute lessons are for kids ages 6-12 and take place on Wednesdays at 4:00pm. Lessons continue in monthly sessions. Space is limited so reserve your spot today! View all open sessionsDROP-IN
Drop-in to a lesson and sharpen your skateboarding skills! Show up on any day and ask our welcome center what is available and enjoy a 30-minute, one-on-one lesson with a coach. (only available for skateboarding at this time).SKATE PARK BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Reserve the skate park for a birthday party! We provide tables, shade, a 30-minute lesson, planned group activity/contest, a staff to attend to your party and a 60,000 sq. ft. course for everyone to have fun and enjoy. The park is an all-wheel (non-motorized) facility, so bring your bikes, blades, skateboards and/or scooters for a great time! All birthday parties take place on Saturdays.
PRIVATE PARTIES

- Cost: $345 participants (up to 25% off with select Y memberships)

Parents night out events happen monthly at the skate park! Parents can take a night out on the town while their kids enjoy shredding at the skate park under the supervision of reliable, highly trained YMCA staff.
