YMCA.
The Y is the largest and oldest provider of youth development
services in San Diego County, with a long history of providing a real, positive impact in the lives of children. We are dedicated to strengthening families as a community resource that nurtures the potential in children.
The YMCA preschool program is designed to support the growth and success of children cognitively, physically, emotionally and socially. Using developmentally appropriate materials, curriculum and activities in a play based environment, your child will be supported in learning social skills, Kindergarten readiness skills and engage in physical activities. Additionally, here at the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA Preschool, we offer dance classes and swimming lessons for an additional cost!
All of these activities help children learn helpfulness and kindness as an introduction to the four core values of the YMCA: caring, responsibility, respect and honesty.
Our programs are licensed by the state of California. Our excellent staff are background cleared through the Department of Justice and trained in CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention to ensure the safety of your child.

PRESCHOOL SUMMER ADVENTURES
The YMCA Preschool Summer Adventure program is designed for children ranging in age from 3 to 5 years old and who have not yet entered Kindergarten.
Our very own Early Childhood educated and experienced staff maintain a commitment to provide opportunities for your child to experience a fun-filled week with hands-on materials, outdoor play and meeting new friends.
The Preschool Summer Adventures program takes
place in the safety of our licensed preschool facility
and outdoor play yard, facility #372005598.
Our Preschool Summer Adventures program maintains a ratio of 2 teachers to 15 children with a maximum of 20 children per class. All children must be fully potty trained and must show proof of all immunizations.

Dino Adventures (June 15-18)
3 – 5 Years Old

Does your child love Dinosaurs? During this week, your child will have the opportunity to explore and learn about Dino characteristics and their environments through hands on science, math, and literacy activities. Projects and activities will include fossil and egg examination and digging explorations. Children will also have fun with games out in the play yard, scavenger hunts, and art projects.
Fun & Messy (June 22-26)
3 – 5 Years Old

Do you have a little artist just waiting to express themselves? Your child will have the opportunity to experiment with color, shape, design and texture. They will use materials to create a new masterpiece each day using paper, clay, collage materials, recycled materials, paint, and more. All of those fun, but messy projects can be done here instead of home! Children will also have opportunities for outside games, stories and dramatic play.
Let’s Build it (June 29-2)
3 – 5 Years Old

Calling all future architects and engineers! At our Let’s Build it! Camp, children will dive into a world of creativity and construction. From building with blocks and LEGO to creating structures with everyday materials, campers will explore problem-solving, teamwork, and design in a hands-on environment. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to build, imagine, and innovate. Perfect for little builders ready to bring their ideas to life and have fun while doing it!
Fantasy (July 6-10)
3 – 5 Years Old

Calling all performers! This adventure will focus on creating and developing stories and roles through dramatic play. Children will have the opportunity to dress up and act out many adventures such as pirates, superheroes, princesses, magical animals and fairies. Other activities include art, writing stories and outdoor games.
Around the World (July 13-17)

“Around the World” camp explores global cultures through play, crafts, music, and stories, focusing on a new country or continent daily, building early geography, social skills, and cultural awareness with activities like passport stamping, and learning simple greetings, using visuals and movement to make learning about the culture and traditions engaging and fun for young learners.
Animal Adventures (July 20-24)
3 – 5 Years Old

Embark on a wild journey at our Animal Adventures Camp! Campers will discover the fascinating world of animals through fun activities like animal crafts, interactive games, and exciting nature walks. From learning about different habitats to pretending to be their favorite animals, campers will have a paws-itively amazing time. This camp is perfect for animal lovers ready to roar, hop, and slither through a week of adventure, all while making new friends and unforgettable memories
Space (July 27-31)
3 – 5 Years Old

Blast off with our space camp! Campers become
astronauts-in-training, discovering planets, making moon sand, and building their own galaxies. Through fun crafts, simple experiments, and obstacle courses, we’ll explore the wonders of space, sparking curiosity and building foundational STEM skills for future adventurers!
