INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITY
Through generous donations to our Annual Campaign, we are able to give every individual the Y experience, regardless of their ability to pay. When you give to the Y, you are making an investment in our community and giving those in need the opportunity to thrive. Last year, YMCA supporters gave over $8.9 million to provide scholarships and subsidize programs and services — helping the Y to fulfill our mission to ensure access for all.
As a leading nonprofit, our Y is making a difference in the lives of 267,666 community members annually — nearly 10% of San Diego County’s population. The need is urgent and growing, and it can’t be met without you!

Our Commitment to Ensure Access for All
Our YMCA is committed to:
- CREATING HEALTH EQUITY through scholarships for families, teens, seniors and children who need us most.
- SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH by providing critical resources such as housing, therapy, social service resources, and much more through YMCA Youth & Family Services.
- NURTURING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT by engaging children in fulfilling enrichment activities through Y child care, after-school programming and camp.
My grandson enjoys camp and swim lessons through the Y’s Kinship program. It has been a very challenging few months following his mother’s sudden death by suicide. The trauma my grandson has been suffering through has been difficult for me to navigate. However, the entire Y team has been so friendly, helpful, and welcoming, that we now feel like the Y is our second home. I appreciate this very much and feel blessed by this gift.

Kids To Camp is an amazing opportunity for donors like you to make an impact in kids life. Kids To Camp is a support campaign to help kids in our financial scholarship program attend day camp sessions or overnight camp.
